Elizabeth of the Trinity
St. Elizabeth of the Trinity was born in Dijon France in 1880. She entered the Carmelite Community in Dijon in 1901. During a great period of turmoil with threats from the French government and internal scandal, she came to her great belief in the power of the presence of God to establish deep peace in souls.
She died at the age of just 26 from Addison’s disease. Even in the painful stages of terminal disease, Elizabeth sought to comfort family and fellow Carmelites. She died “believing that she had a spiritual mission to help lead souls to a deeper encounter with Christ Jesus.”
