Anointing of the Sick – October 25 at 8:30 am Mass

We will offer the sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick during the 8:30 a.m. Mass on Saturday, October 25th, 2025.

This sacrament is intended for all who are ill – whether in body, mind, or spirit.

The illness may be temporary, serious, or chronic.

You may receive the sacrament if you are preparing for surgery or even if you are just experiencing old age.

It’s important to understand that this sacrament is no longer referred to as the “Last Rites.” As such, you may
receive this sacrament as often as you need it during your life.

What Pope Francis said about the Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick:

    • It is the Sacrament of healing and support in illness.
    • “And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick.” – (James 5:14-15)
    • It is Jesus Himself who makes Himself present in the Sacrament.
    • Not even evil or death can separate us from Christ.
    • The communal aspect assures those that are sick and their loved ones that they are not alone in their suffering.

Members of our Prayer Shawl Ministry will have a selection of blessed prayer shawls available for those who
would like one.
