New Minister of Care training will take place on two Saturdays, October 25th and November 1, 2025 from 8:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish, Hickey Hall, 1772 Glenview Road, Glenview.

A Basic Ministry of Care Training Course for those who wish to bring our Lord in Holy Communion to the homebound or in nursing facilities will be offered this Fall.

Chaplain Rick Nash and Jim Vlazny of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish in Glenview will facilitate this training.

Per Archdiocesan guidelines, it is important that new Ministers of Care attend both Saturday training sessions to be mandated. 

An additional, shorter session will be held here at the Parish to detail how the ministry is carried out locally.

We will be participating in a brief Sunday Encounter Survey at every weekend Mass on October 11-12, right after the homily. 

We will have another opportunity the following weekend for anyone who missed it, as well as making it available online at our parish, school, and social media websites. 

We wish to make it fully available so that our homebound parishioners, those traveling or all those who prefer to respond digitally can partake of this opportunity. 

The more voices we hear, the better, as this will allow us to better walk together.

The Guitar Ensemble is a contemporary Christian music ensemble, based here at St. Elizabeth of the Trinity parish.

Some members of the Guitar Ensemble come here from other parishes specifically to participate in our Guitar Ensemble ministry.

We strive to make music that honors God, helps uplift the congregation, and enhances the prayers of Catholic Christians.

This fall, the Guitar Ensemble will provide music at St. Elizabeth of the Trinity  for the 5:00 p.m. Masses on:

The Guitar Ensemble will also be singing/playing at the prayer service at Our Lady of the Angels Mission on Saturday September 27.

The Guitar Ensemble needs a few more singers who can carry a melody.

The ability to read music is not mandatory, but it's very helpful.

We rehearse most Tuesday evenings.

We will offer the sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick during the 8:30 a.m. Mass on Saturday, October 25th.

This sacrament is intended for all who are ill - whether in body, mind, or spirit. The illness may be temporary, serious, or chronic. 

You may receive the sacrament if you are preparing for surgery or even if you are just experiencing “old age.

It's important to understand that this sacrament is no longer referred to as the Last
Rites.  As such, you may receive this sacrament as often as you need it during your
life.

After the Mass, members of our Prayer Shawl Ministry will have a selection of blessed
prayer shawls available for those who would like one.

Our local Vicar, Bishop John Siemianowski, will preside at the 11:00 Mass on Sunday, October 26, 2025 during which he will install Fr. Deogratias Mbonyumugenzi
as the Administrator of St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish.

A reception offering light hospitality will take place in the gym (5859 North Moody Avenue) afterwards.

Recently there have been several occasions where there was no one present during our
Tuesday Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. 

There should be at least two people present at all times. 

To insure this happens we are asking people to sign up in advance for at least a half
hour at a time using Sign Up Genius.

The Parish Choir is in need of more voices to sing at the 9am Mass! 

Those high school aged and older are invited to join. 

Come to the church’s choir loft on Tuesdays at 7:15pm for rehearsa.

Jesus is truly present in the Holy Eucharist and longs to be with us in our daily lives. 

We are excited to announce an additional opportunity for Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.

It will be every Thursday starting on September 4 after the 8:30 a.m. Mass until Benediction at 6:50 p.m. in Spanish.

The Blessed Sacrament will be exposed throughout the day for private prayer and Adoration.

Come and spend time with our Lord - whether for a few minutes - or an entire hour.

Let us draw closer to Christ, who is waiting for us with love.

Please note that this is in addition to the normal Tuesday Adoration schedule.

Beginning Sunday September  3, 2023 , Confessions will be heard each Sunday after the11:00 a.m. Mass, from 12:00 p.m. to 12: 45 p.m.
