From Our SVDP Society – Warming Centers Update

Mayfair Presbyterian Church is opening as an overnight warming center (Sun-Tues), along with the Skokie Courthouse.
AND Friendship Community Place as a warming center at 5150 N Northwest Hwy, Mon & Tues, 7am to 6pm (coffee, tea, snacks).

See below and attached if you are in need or can donate on Sunday to the Mayfair Presbyterian effort.

Frigid temperatures are moving into our community and we want to give an update on emergency shelter/warming center options. We remain deeply concerned about the inadequacies of Chicago’s warming and overnight shelters. Our city needs stronger street outreach, more accessible shelter options, 24/7 warming centers, and real pathways to housing.
