Introducing Parishioners’ Corner

It will have escaped the attention of no one that the combining of our three parishes – St. Cornelius, St. Tarcissus, and St. Thecla – was challenging at best, and unbearable at worst.

However, five years of transition and the appointment of a new shepherd, Father Deo, for our parish, is the foundation and inspiration for going forward to write a new chapter for St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish.

As we continue to build a new reality, journeying and healing together, we want to acknowledge the past with gratitude and truth. We pray as a parish that the Holy Spirit will provide us with a lens of hope to guide us.

We are inviting members of all three legacy parishes to share their journey and express their feelings, suggestions, and perspectives regarding the merger.

Your thoughts about how our parish can go forward can be submitted in print by dropping it off or mailing it to the Rectory. If you like, you can submit your comments anonymously.

Or you can send an email to fellow parishioners:

Bobbie DuMelle (bobbiedumelle@sbcglobal.net) and/or Ron Polaniecki (ronpcues@yahoo.com)
Please note “Parishioners’ Corner” in the subject line of the email.

We’ll print some of your thoughts on the Parishioners’ Corner page of the bulletin and all feedback will be shared with the Parish Council.

In short, we are poised to take a step back so that we can walk together to advance a new future for St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish.

Look for reflections about the Sunday Readings and messages about the new vistas that Father Deo envisions on his weekly bulletin page.

Then look periodically for notes from parishioners as well as news about people and parish activities.

“O my God, Trinity whom I adore, let me entirely forget myself that I may abide
in you, still and peaceful as if my soul were already in eternity; let nothing disturb
my peace nor separate me from you….” – St. Elizabeth of the Trinity
