Bea Cavoto – Administrative Assistant

My name is Mrs. Bea Cavoto, and I am an Administrative Assistant at St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish.

I have a bachelor’s degree in music performance, and a Distinguished Service Award, from St. Xavier University, and a master’s degree in early childhood education, from National Louis University, as well as an Early Childhood Leadership Certificate.

For my bachelor’s degree, I studied classical music and at the same time I also taught C.C.D. for preschoolers at Queen of Martyrs Church. Queen of Martyrs pioneered C.C.D. classes for the deaf, so while teaching there, I created and directed a preschool to high school choir, for the non-deaf and deaf C.C.D. masses. A few years after receiving my music degree, I began to study jazz music. Studying jazz, brought me to Oakton Community College, in which I ended up being a member in the OCC’s Jazz Big Band.

Between getting my degrees, I was an office manager at three different offices: one at a medical office of six doctors, another at an animal hospital of four veterinarians, and the last one at a pet sitting company of twenty sitters.

I then decided to get back into working with children and became a preschool teacher’s assistant, before eventually going back to school to get my masters. After two years of being a lead preschool teacher, I was honored with The Alliance of Early Childhood Teacher Tribute, for my “exceptional commitment” as an “outstanding educator, to the youngest members of the community” and “recognized for making a meaningful difference in the lives of young children”.

For the past twelve years, I have been a lead preschool teacher at a few Catholic schools and was recently offered a position at the rectory as an administrative assistant.

I am looking forward to working with the staff here at the rectory and our wonderful parish community!!
