Some images of the Mass and procession for the Enthronement of Our Lady of Czestochowa on Sunday, August 23.
Leading us in prayer, and celebrating the bilingual Polish-English Mass, was Father Pawel Komperda, from St. Daniel the Prophet Parish.
In his homily, Father Pawel beautifully and succinctly explained how faithful devotion to Our Lady of Czestochowa profoundly inspired the Polish people to remain steadfast in their Catholic faith and traditions in the face of tormenting challenges.
We are grateful to our music director, Mark Wozniczka, for providing a detailed worship aid so that all could follow and participate in the hymns and prayers.
Thanks also to the Knights of Columbus for serving as reverential honor guards, plus all who helped in this special occasion of honoring of our
Blessed Mother in church, and then for the hospitality and camaraderie that followed in our auditorium.
Further enhancing the day was a distinctive prayer card, originated and
blessed in Poland, that was made available to all Mass attendees.
