3. Repentance and conversion are necessary to benefit from God's forgiveness.
4. Then, we have a new life, a new way of thinking, and of doing things.

Topics as a means of growth:
1. Christian moral life, Prayer, Study of the scriptures, how to grow in service, Jesus tells us: I did not
come to be served but to serve. – Matthew 20:28.
2. Catholic Life: Sacraments, Hierarchy, Virgin Mary, and the Mass.

In this way we can say: It is no longer I who live; it is Christ who lives in me. – Galatians 2:20
Jesus invites us to receive His Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit gifts us with His fruits and His gifts that help
us serve our community and our first Domestic Church, our family.

All are welcome! Every Friday from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. for ten weeks. 
Registration forms are in the vestibule in Spanish! Meetings will be held in the school.

New Minister of Care training will take place on two Saturdays, September 28th and October
5th, 2024 from 8:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish, Hickey Hall,
1772 Glenview Road, Glenview. 

Per Archdiocesan guidelines, it is important that new Ministers of Care attend both Saturday training sessions to be mandated. 

An additional, shorter session will be held here at the Parish to detail how the ministry is carried out locally.

Here are some important details about the training. Only those who have the endorsement of a local parish will be admitted. This implies that the pastor or parish staff members will have interviewed and screened applicants from our parish.

We will offer the sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick during the 8:30 a.m. Mass on Saturday, October 19th.

This sacrament is intended for all who are ill - whether in body, mind, or spirit.

The illness may be temporary, serious, or chronic. 

You may receive the sacrament if you are preparing for surgery or even if you are just experiencing “old age.”
I
t’s important to understand that this sacrament is no longer referred to as the “Last Rites.” As such, you may receive this sacrament as often as you need it during your life.

Members of our Prayer Shawl Ministry will have a selection of blessed prayer shawls available for those who would like one.

Proceeds will benefit handicapped children and adult programs, St. Elizabeth parish food pantry,

Join the entire St. Elizabeth community for 9:00 a.m. Mass on Thanksgiving Day. 
Then join us for some light hospitality afterwards in the auditorium hosted by some of our young people. 

The collection that day will go to the St. Vincent de Paul Society to help them with their charitable work in our community. And why not bring some non-perishable food for our food pantry?

The St. Vincent de Paul Society will be collecting collecting at all Masses on December 7 and 8. 

We will be delivering the gifts to the Mission of OLA after the 8:30 Mass on December 9.
