Why not consider becoming an Extraordinary Minister of Communion at Mass or a Lector at Mass?
Extraordinary Ministers assist with the distribution of the Precious Body & Blood of Christ at weekend Masses. Presently, because of lack of ministers, we are only able to offer one Cup at each weekend Mass. Ideally, we would like to offer two, so both sides of the church would be able to partake.
Lectors proclaim the Readings at Mass, read the announcements, and when a deacon is not present, they read the General Intercessions.
We are in very great need of Lectors especially for the 7:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Masses. If you normally attend one of these Masses, please consider this opportunity to help out our parish!
Training for both of these ministries takes place here in our church by me.
