An Update from Your Parish Pastoral Council (PPC):
The Parish Pastoral Council (PPC) meets monthly to help Father Deo reflect on pastoral realities, offer insights, and propose practical ways to strengthen our parish.
A brief summary of key topics discussed at PPC meetings has been shared in the Bulletin.
Here are notes from the PPC meeting held January 5, 2026.
At this meeting, the PPC discussed:
– Opportunities to:
• regularly post on the parish calendar as many parish events as possible, and make the calendar more accessible and available.
– Forums for sharing the Parish Vision and discussing its meaning.
– Next steps for the three parish committees that are developing action items for key areas of
parish focus: (1) Community; (2) Evangelization, and (3) Worship.
– Upcoming parish events and activities, including the parish Disciple Maker Index (DMI) survey.
– Reports, including notes from the St. Elizabeth of the Trinity representatives on the Archdiocese
of Chicago’s Parish Pastoral Council, which regularly meets with Cardinal Cupich.
Among topics covered in the report from that meeting were updates on the Synodal process in the Archdiocese.
If you have ideas for discussion at upcoming PPC meetings, or questions, you can send them to the PPC email box, parishcouncil@setparish.org.
